Access to cash in Scotland has been “decimated” in recent years, with half a million people struggling to access cash according to a new report.

Westminster’s Scottish Affairs committee found almost half of Scotland’s bank branches have closed since 2015, as banks make bolder strides to take their services online.

But charities warn the move to a cashless society is moving too quickly, leaving vulnerable people behind. here’s our political reporter, laura alderman.
