Ground broken on first new Edinburgh concert hall in a century

The Dunard Centre off St Andrew Square will seat 1,000 people.

Its been a long time coming, but ground has now been broken on Edinburgh’s first new purpose-built concert hall in a century.

The Dunard Centre off St Andrew Square will seat 1,000 people and will be a new home to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

The event today marked the start of construction of the £160m project.
