Greenpeace takes UK Government to court over Jackdaw gas field

It is claimed the newly approved plans are not taking the environmental impact into consideration

Environmental campaigners are taking their fight to halt the creation of new oil and gas developments to court, in a row over a new gas field off Aberdeen.

Greenpeace have accused the UK Government of failing to take into account the impact of burning gas from the Jackdaw field. The Government say the field will boost domestic supplies in the years to come.
