Grandmother climbs equivalent of Mount Everest after sepsis battle

Dee Thomas' challenge has seen her raise around £8,000 for sepsis research.

A Perthshire grandmother has climbed the equivalent of Mount Everest – a year on from beating sepsis.

Dee Thomas spent three months in hospital after she suddenly became ill in April last year.

Last month the 66-year-old scaled her local hill four times a day to raise awareness of the disease.
