Gorgie City Farm closes its doors due to funding issues

Last week, the First Minister said she was ready to help save the farm

A much-loved, 40 year old community farm in Edinburgh closed its doors today, amid rising costs and a lack of funding.

The owners of Gorgie farm are handing back the lease to Edinburgh council, just 3 years after saving it from collapse.
