Glasgow’s Burrell Collection has reopened following a £68million refurbishment. The museum had been closed since October 2016. It’s widely considered to be one of the greatest collections of personal art in the world.
The collection was donated to the city of Glasgow by Sir William Burrell in 1944. This updated museum means that even more art is now on display – including some pieces that haven’t been seen for decades. Polly Bartlett reports.
