Glasgow only Scottish city to make Eurovision 2023 shortlist

The UK has been awarded host status as winners Ukraine are at war with Russia

Glasgow has been announced as the only Scottish city shortlisted to host next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Ukraine were this year’s winners — but the show’s organisers decided the event can’t be held there safely because of the ongoing war with Russia.

Instead, it’ll here in the UK and although Aberdeen and Edinburgh also bid to host the contest, they failed to make it through to the second stage.
