Glasgow museums first in UK to repatriate stolen items to India

The charity which manages the city's collections has signed a deal to transfer seven objects dating back hundreds of years

Glasgow’s museums have agreed to become the first in the UK to repatriate stolen items to India.

A transfer of ownership ceremony was held this morning after the city council approved a recommendation to return more than 50 items to India, Nigeria and the United States.
