Gen Z watching more online content, new figures show

Ofcom says the TV set 'remains at the heart of household viewing'.

Broadcast TV viewing in Scotland declined significantly last year – with more than half of Gen Z-ers opting to watch content on video-sharing platforms like YouTube and TikTok instead.

Research from the broadcast regulator Ofcom found live TV continues to be most popular with older generations, with over-54s watching an average of five hours and ten minutes per day.
