Gas network to be installed in Falkirk villages for first time

The £8 million project is the biggest job SGN has ever undertaken in Scotland

There’s finally light at the end of the tunnel for hundreds of Falkirk villagers who claim they’ve been forced into debt due to astronomical electrical heating costs.

The local authority fitted inappropriate boilers into almost 1,000 council homes twelve years ago.

SGN is now in the process of extending its gas network to the villages of California, Avonbridge, Whitecross and Slamannan in a bid to help the residents with energy costs.
