The American rape suspect Nicholas Rossi has been extradited from Scotland to the United States after a long-running legal battle.
The 36-year-old, who is wanted by authorities in Utah, left on a private flight from Edinburgh this morning.
Police Scotland confirmed it assisted partner agencies with the extradition.
It comes after appeal judges quashed Rossi’s bid to stop attempts to send him back to the US to face rape and sexual assault charges.
