Farming leaders have emerged “frustrated and angry” following talks with the UK Government about plans for a new inheritance tax.

Meeting Treasury officials at Westminster, they maintained that a 20% tax would destroy family businesses and threaten food security.

But there was no sign of a U-turn by ministers.
