Scotland’s health secretary during the coronavirus lockdownn has refused to accept care homes felt “pressured” to accept hospital discharges in the early stages of the pandemic.
Speaking at the UK Covid Inquiry today, Jeane Freeman said she should have provided greater clinical support to the care sector.
Those working in social care say the comments are an attempt to shift blame onto them.
