“It’s like we’ve been abused all over again” – the reaction of a Fornethy House survivor to the sentence handed down to the teacher who abused her.
Patricia Baxter, formerly Robertson, was described as a “cruel and sadistic” woman who had shown no remorse for force feeding children as young as five their own vomit – as well as physically assaulting others.
A judge at the High Court in Glasgow said the main factor in not sending her to jail was her age.
