Former teacher convicted of historical abuse of girls at Fornethy House

Patricia Robertson, 77, was found guilty of 'cruel and unnatural treatment' of girls at Fornethy House.

A retired teacher has been convicted of the historical abuse of vulnerable children from Glasgow at a former residential school in Angus.

Patricia Robertson force-fed, hit, shouted at, punched and kicked children at Fornethy House.

The 77-year-old had denied all 25 charges she faced, but was found guilty of 18. Survivors of her abuse say their fight for recognition and an apology is only just beginning.
