Former Scotland cricketer says he was racially abused while umpiring match

Majid Haq was umpiring a club match when he says an offensive term about Pakistani people was used to describe him

A former Scottish international cricketer who says he was racially abused at the weekend, has told STV News he’d consider walking away from the game if a similar incident happens again.

Majid was one of the whistle-blowers who previously criticised the sports governing body Cricket Scotland.

That led to an investigation which found it to be institutionally racist.
