The former Health Secretary Jeane Freeman has told the Scottish Hospitals Inquiry a failure of governance by NHS Lothian was responsible for the opening of the children’s hospital in Edinburgh being delayed by almost two years.
The new building at Little France was days from becoming operational in the summer of 2019 when problems with the ventilation system put that on hold.
