FM refuses Iran conflict briefings supervised by Scottish secretary

Swinney says a meeting with the deputy national security adviser was postponed as Douglas Alexander could not attend.

The First Minister is refusing to have briefings from the UK Government supervised by the Scottish Secretary.

John Swinney says a meeting with the deputy national security adviser about the Iran conflict was postponed because Douglas Alexander could not attend.

The UK Government says it is right it sits in the briefing.

Both were at Prestwick Airport on Friday to welcome a £40m investment that will create 450 jobs.
