FM ends Bute House Agreement, kicking Greens out of government

The move has triggered a vote of no confidence in Humza Yousaf

Humza Yousaf ended the SNP’s power sharing deal with the Scottish Greens on Thursday morning, ending the Bute House Agreement with immediate effect.

An emergency Cabinet meeting followed, before confirmation the SNP was returning to leading a minority government.

The Greens have reacted furiously, accusing Yousaf of political cowardice.

Meanwhile the Conservatives lodged a motion of no confidence in the First Minister – a vote that Humza Yousaf could struggle to survive.
