North East skippers are predicting a challenging year ahead with new catch limits with the EU, and Norway set to nearly halve cod quotas.
The new deal follows weeks of negotiations.
It was feared Scottish fishermen would not be able to catch any cod, following scientific advice published earlier this year.
Catch limits for haddock and prawns remain relatively steady.
