First Renfrew-Yoker bridge section arrives on the Clyde

The bridge was built in Holland and slowly crossed the North Sea headed for Scotland last week

One half of a bridge which connecting Renfrew to Yoker and Clydebank has arrived at its final destination on the Clyde.

The 600ft swing bridge will open for passing ships but its installation could come at the cost of one of the area’s oldest businesses – the Yoker-Renfrew ferry.
