First Minister welcomes new investment in Ardersier yard

New owners want to harness the potential of wind power and breathe new life into the site.

The First Minister has welcomed the awarding of a £100m loan to help develop the former fabrication yard at Ardersier for the renewables sector.

The facility was a major employer in the boom times of the North Sea oil and gas sector in the 1970s and 80s.
