Firefighters put out last of large wildfire near Inverness

The Scottish Fire and Rescue service said recent rainfall helped efforts to control the blaze

Firefighters in the Highlands have spent most of today damping down the remains of a large wildfire at Daviot near Inverness.

Some nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution at the weekend, with plumes of smoke visible for miles.
