Firefighter who died in line of duty honoured at home station

A commemorative plaque has been unveiled, which will go on permanent display at Perth Museum.

A Perth firefighter who died in the line of duty has been honoured in a special ceremony at the station where he worked.

Roderick Nicolson, who was known as Nic, lost his life while rescuing two men from a silo at the city’s harbour in 1995.
