Finance secretary unveils Scottish Government Budget

Opposition MSPs accuse Shona Robison of 'financial mismanagement' following the Budget announcement.

The finance secretary has unveiled the Scottish Government’s latest budget, which looks to scrap the two-child benefit cap by 2026

Shona Robison said her first budget under John Swinney was “filled with hope for Scotland’s future.”

Record funding for the NHS was also announced, along with free schools meals for primary six and seven pupils from low-income families.

However council tax is set to rise after a freeze was lifted.
