Fife to become latest council to ban pavement parking

Any violations will result in a £100 penalty, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days.

There are just a few days until Fife becomes the latest council area to bring in a pavement parking ban.

The new rule comes into force on September 1 and will prohibit vehicles from parking on footpaths.

Any violations will result in a £100 penalty, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days.

It follows Edinburgh, Glasgow, and South Lanarkshire, who have introduced similar bans.
