Ferry returns to service after 20 months following £12m of repairs

Major faults were discovered when the vessel went in for its annual maintenance check.

CalMac’s Caledonian Isles ferry has returned to service for the first time since January last year.

Major faults were discovered when the vessel went in for its annual maintenance check.

It had been due to carry passengers on the Ardrossan to Brodick route on a number of occasions, but each time further issues were identified.
