Ferguson Marine ferry costs rise by further £70 million

The company has also confirmed the second vessel, Hull 802, has been delayed and will not be ready until 2024

The cost of building 2 ferries at the Ferguson Marine Yard has risen by more than £70 million since March.

The second ferry, due to serve the Western Isles, had been due for completion by the end of next year.

It’s the latest in a series of setbacks at the Port Glasgow yard.
