Ferguson Marine CEO sacked amid further ferry delays

The latest delay could be three months but the Board is hoping this move makes it quicke

The man in charge of building two delayed and over-budget CalMac ferries has been sacked.

David Tydeman’s contract as chief executive of Ferguson Marine was terminated to “ensure the company’s long term future”, the Board said today.

It comes as the Scottish Government admits there would likely be further delays, which the Economy Secretary says is unacceptable.
