A fatal accident inquiry into the death of a toddler hit by an elderly driver in Edinburgh will question if enough safeguards are in place when older people are renewing their licenses.
3-year-old Xander Irvine was killed when a car mounted the pavement in Edinburgh’s Morningside area in June 2020.
The 91-year-old driver died before she could stand trial.
