Farmers call for greater assurances on meat import border checks

It comes as the number of African Swine Fever cases reaches a ten-year high.

Pig farmers are calling for greater assurances that border checks on meat coming in from the EU are being properly screened.

Farmers say African Swine Fever would devastate their herds here, and that the new Labour Government must ensure controls are enforced.
