Farmer letting public pick blueberries to raise money for charity

Around £27,000 pounds has been raised in the first two years.

A Perthshire fruit farmer is helping to raise vital funds for charity – by letting the public pick his blueberries.

Peter Thomson’s soft fruit in Blairgowrie would once sell to supermarkets for millions of pounds a year.

But after commercial production was pulled – his farm has now become the centre of a local funding initiative.
