The family of a young man living in a community hospital has complained over the “shocking” standard of care given to their son.
Fraser Malcolm, who has additional support needs, has been living at Woodland View hospital near Irvine.
The local health and social care partnership (HSCP) decided to permanently close Ward 7A at Woodland View hospital from July 14 after finding care levels within the ward “fell far short of standards and expectations”.
After learning at short notice that the ward will shut, Fraser’s family is now urgently trying to sort a new care plan.
