The brother of a Scottish sailor, jailed in Bahrain after breaking up a street fight, believes he is a victim of a miscarriage of justice.
Owen Haggerty from Refrewshire, has been sentenced to three months after being convicted of assault.
The 22-year-old’s relatives say they feel totally helpless and fear for his mental health.
The Royal Navy say that they are in contact with both the British Embassy in Bahrain as well as local law authorities in a bid to allow the Scot to return home.
