Michele Rutherford was a dedicated carer, who loved her job. In March of last year, the mother-of-two went to work at supported accommodation in Stirling and didn’t come home.
The 54-year-old was stabbed to death by a resident who was later detained without limit of time.
Michele’s grieving family feel “angry and let down” as there was nowhere appropriate in Scotland to treat a high risk female killer.
They say this lead to lengthy delays, misinformation and distress throughout the judicial process.
They’re to meet with ministers to demand change to what they describe as a flawed system.
