Family call for life-changing treatment to be made available on NHS

An Edinburgh family is calling on the Scottish Government to help save their daughter’s sight by making a potentially life-changing treatment available on the NHS.

Nineteen-year-old Beau Johnston has been left visually impaired after battling a rare brain tumour when she was two years old.

Now a new tumour is threatening her remaining vision.

But a drug which she believes could save her sight is not available in the UK.
