Experts warn untrained practitioners in high street baby-scan clinics put mothers and babies at risk.

Pregnant women going for private ultrasound scans are being urged to check their sonographer’s qualifications, as experts say women and unborn babies are being put at risk by untrained practitioners in high street clinics.

The Society of Radiographers told STV News fetal abnormalities, complications and ectopic pregnancies are being missed and is calling for sonographer to be a protected title.
