Doctors and charities are urging the Scottish Government to reverse cuts in funding for treatment for stroke patients amid fears it could leave thousands avoidably disabled.

Thrombectomy – which involves removing a blood clot from the brain – is currently only available in Edinburgh and Dundee, but there were plans to roll it out across the country.
