Every pharmacy in Scotland to stock overdose saving medicine

Available as an injection or as a nasal spray naloxone reverses or counters the effects of drugs like heroin

More than 1,000 people died from drugs misuse in Scotland last year – many of them because of opioids like heroin.

But from today, every pharmacy in the country will stock naloxone, which can save a life when someone overdoses.
