A town purpose built nearly 150 years ago to care for orphans from Glasgow is at the centre of a planning row.
Businessman and former carer Frank Benson has faced more than 100 objections to his plans to transform a care home to a supported living facility -one he thinks has been the target of misinformation.
But some residents say they feel his project to home half a dozen vulnerable adults will make the village unsafe.
