Hospices across Scotland are warning they may have to start turning away end-of-life patients for the first time ever due to an “insurmountable” funding gap of £22m.
Social care bosses say years of underinvestment and now the increase in employers’ National Insurance has left the sector on its knees.
They say the Scottish Government must step in to avoid it collapsing completely.
