Emergency energy support branded a ‘drop in the ocean’ by business

Prices will be fixed for six months under the temporary plan in an attempt to save companies thousands of pounds

Gas and electricity bills for Scottish businesses, schools, care homes and hospitals will be cut by almost half under a UK Government support scheme.

Businesses have told STV News that, while they welcome the support, it’s a drop in the ocean as they battle the worst cost of living crisis since the 1980s.

They’re warning the support won’t be enough to see them through the uncertainty that lies ahead.
