Former patients of disgraced Dundee surgeon Sam Eljamel say their campaign for justice has taken a “massive shift” – after NHS Tayside agreed to reset a time bar for legal claims.
Many patients – who’ve been left with life-changing injuries – have been unable to seek compensation due to the surgeries taking place more than three years ago.
But the health board has now agreed to “reset the clock” – which campaigners say could pave the way for hundreds of claims.
