Elderly day care centre closure would be ‘catastrophic’ say volunteers

Letters of support call it a lifeline service, essential to the health of local people

The closure of a day centre for elderly people in Easterhouse would be “catastrophic” according to volunteers who work there.

The Daffodil Club provides food, activities and a warm space for pensioners across the area – but it’s running out of funding and could close in August.
