Edinburgh’s North Bridge to reopen next year after £86m restoration

Restoration began in 2018 after parts of the bridge fell down on the street below.

It’s been seven years in the making and is almost four times over budget at around £86m, but Edinburgh’s North Bridge is expected to fully reopen by summer next year.

STV News joined workers on site who are now in the process of adding the finishing touches to the structure.
