Edinburgh scientists receive funding for infant leukaemia treatment

Treatments for infants have largely remained unchanged since the 1960s

Researchers at Edinburgh University have received funding to try to uncover more effective treatments for infant leukemia – a rare but devastating disease which affects babies under 12 months.

Currently, the treatment can be aggressive and even toxic for infants, but it’s hoped this latest project will help find kinder and more effective treatments.
