Edinburgh scientists identify potential new MS treatment

More than 17,000 people in Scotland are living with MS.

Scots are more likely to have multiple sclerosis than people living in most other countries, with about one in every 300 of us having the condition.

But, a ground-breaking discovery is offering renewed hope.

New research has identified a potential treatment which could help reverse some of the effects of MS, according to Edinburgh University scientists.

Joanne Newall, who was diagnosed with relapsing and remitting MS in 2021, says the discovery of a technique to repair nerve damage is “nothing but positive” for those living with the condition.
