Councillors will meet tomorrow to try and close a gap in the city's budget

Council tax in Edinburgh is set to rise by almost 6%, as councillors struggle to plug a £72 million financial black hole in the city’s upcoming budget.

The Labour administration’s proposals will be debated tomorrow, and include extra funding to save the Kings Theatre and repair potholes.
