Edinburgh City Council announces plans to get ‘climate ready’

Plans include planting 25,000 trees a year in the city.

Edinburgh Council has announced plans to get “climate ready”.

Over the next two years, proposals to help the city adapt to the impacts of climate change will be implemented including planting 25,000 trees a year.

A flood study will also be undertaken to determine the long-term management of existing defences along the coast.
