Dundee University is to receive an ‘unprecedented’ £40 million bailout of public money as it continues to tackle its financial collapse.
Education secretary Jenny Gilruth said this wasn’t “rewarding failure” but responding to an “unprecedented and unique situation”.
Last week, an investigation accused university bosses of poor financial judgement, dangerous over self-confidence and a lack of basic budgeting.
